| Description | The National Constitution Center at 525 Arch Street between N. 5th and N. 6th Street in Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, was established with the Constitution Heritage Act of 1988 and broke ground in 2000. The building, which opened in 2003, was designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. The Center is "the first and only nonprofit, nonpartisan institution devoted to the most powerful vision of freedom ever expressed: the U.S. Constitution" (Source: "Mission & History" on the NCC website) |
