Description
English: Narrowboat at Hunts Lock near Fradley Junction Trent and Mersey canal, built 1766-1777 and engineered by James Brindley. Narrowboat "King Lear" has come up the lock and another boat is in it on the way down. This lock alters the water level by 5 feet 8 inches ( 1.73 metres). There are five locks in the flight at Fradley Junction, changing the water level by 35 feet 8 inches (nearly eleven metres).
