Description
Српски / srpski: Narodni muzej Kikinda osnovan je 1946. godine. Nalazi se u velelepnoj klasicističkoj zgradi koja je prvobitno bila gradska kurija i sedište Velikokikindskog dištrikta. Muzej raspolaže sa preko 25.000 eksponata razvrstanih u pet kategorija: arheološka, istorijska, etnološka, prirodnjačka i umetnička. Od 2006. godine, u vlasništvu muzeja je i skelet mamuta, otkriven 1996. godine na glinokopu fabrike Toza Marković. Muzej je organizator manifestacija Mamutfest i Noć muzeja.
English: National Museum of Kikinda was founded in 1946. It is located in a magnificent classicist building that was originally the city manor and the seat of the Velikokikind district. The museum has over 25.000 exhibits classified into five categories: archaeological, historical, ethnological, naturalistic and artistic. Since 2006, the museum has also owned a mammoth skeleton, discovered in 1996. in the clay pit of the Toza Marković factory. The museum is the organizer of the Mamutfest and Museum Night events.
