English: Ancient Narbadeshwar Mahadev Temple located in Dakshinkali Municipality Ward No. 5 of Kathmandu District. This temple is on the right side of the road going south from Kathmandu. The ancient temple of Dakshinakali is located near Sesha Narayan Temple. In front of this temple of Udalakeshwar Mahadev i.e. on the left side of the road there is a small temple of Ganesha. This temple is also considered as a pilgrimage site. There is also a legend that in this tirtha, a sage named Uddalak performed penance and became happy, Lord Shiva appeared and installed a Shivlinga. According to the Himavatkhandpurana, it is mentioned that a demon named Sthulodhar also attained success in this pilgrimage site. Also Narada has also given importance to this Tirtha. Birupaksha also visited this shrine. There is a temple of Narbadeshwar Mahadev in the central part of the temple complex, while there are pati, pauas on all sides of the temple complex. In front of the temple, there are Basaha, Trishul, etc., and there are also small idols of different Gods around.
