Summary

[edit]
Description Corps resident engineer Floyd Bolton (right) explains some of the features of the new bypass to Napa Valley Register reporter Kevin Courtney during a site visit Sept. 24, 2014. The bypass will shortcut floodwater to avoid a horseshoe-like bend in the river that often backs up and causes flooding into downtown Napa. Construction of the bypass is the latest of several Corps projects to reduce the risk of flooding in Napa, and is scheduled for completion in summer 2015. (U.S. Army photo by Tyler Stalker/Released)
