Summary
[edit]DescriptionNant y Moch Highlanders' family snap - geograph.org.uk - 663728.jpg |
English: A Highland cow and other (type of, or mixed?) breed cattle. – Nant y Moch Highlanders' family snap. This herd of Highland cattle has been roaming the western slopes of Pumlumon for many years. On this occasion they were grazing just east of the Nant Maesnant Fach. There are plans to extend rough grazing by hardy breeds in the area. Apparently, at a low density, grazing would be beneficial ecologically and could help flood prevention as the animals would counter densification of the soil. http://www.montwt.co.uk/pumlumon.html |
