Description
English: Namal Uyana pink quartz mountain is located in kekiraawa, Sri Lanka. This pink quartz deposit is the largest one in South Asia. Also it is well known for its healing properties, largest plant fossil deposits in Sri Lanka, archaeological reserve with ruins of ancient monastery. The Namal Uyana was declared a National Heritage Site in 2005 under the purview of the Department of Wildlife Conservation.
