Nakamichi TD-1200ii car player with auto azimuth alignment

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Nakamichi TD-1200ii car cassette player. The original TD1200 was released in the end of 1983; it is not clear when it was supplanted with the -ii version (which externally differs in the shape of large sculpted buttons). The TD-1200 was one of only three cassette player models ever built with auto azimuth adjustment, and the only car player of this kind. The patented NAAC mechanism - same as used in the Nakamichi Dragon - continuously adjusted playback head azimuth relying only on the audio signal. Manufacturer claimed less than 0.045% wow and flutter, in line with the company's best mains-powered decks.
