Description
English: Port of Nafpaktos, fortiffications and statues of Cervantes, and Georgios Anemogiannis (the national hero of 1821 uprising)
Polski: Fortyfikacje portu w Nafpaktos. Proszę nie mylić ze znacznie groźniejszymi bastionami artyleryjskimi zamków niskich średnich i wysokiego. Na dolnym planie pomniczek Cervantesa. Na bastionie pomnik, wyobrażający pochodzącego z Nafpaktos, bohatera powstania narodowego 1821, Georgiosa Anemogiannisa, na pokładzie stateczku "Wolność", podążającego w stronę nieprzyjaciela. Bohater zajmował się kierowaniem tzw. branderów, czyli małych jednostek pływających, wyładowanych materiałami wybuchowymi i zapalającymi, w stronę zgrupowań tureckich jednostek wojennych. Zginął... by teraz żyć przez stulecia. Stał się wzorem pozytywnego bohatera dla greckiej młodzieży, co właśnie głosi jedna z inskrypcji, umieszczonych na pomniku.
W dolnej części lewego bastionu, tuż nad poziomem wody, widoczny jest otwór strzelniczy, służący do ryglowania wejścia do portu ogniem z bardzo bliska, na wprost, wzdłuż linii główek portu
