Bhakri, a super food for everyone with no oil at all, perfect combination of carbohydrates with proteins and a lovely taste. Bhakri is made everyday in rural Maharashtra due its richness and health benefits by hardworking farmers. Usually Bhakri is eaten with pithla, jhunka , thecha or any bhaji. There are various versions of bhakri as jowar bhakri,nachni bhakri, bajri bhakri etc. Each type suitable for specific season. Benefits of Bhakri of Nachni and jowar 1. Needs no oil at all 2. Not only it has carbohydrates but also protein in jowar, iron in nachni/ ragi, and minerals. 3. Suitable for all with tons of health benefits rather than chapati. 4. Very nutritious and helpful for people with glucose regulation impairments (diabetes) This Photo captured is intended not only to show the Rich Pithla Bhakri but also simple life style of common man without compromising the health.
