Description
English: The first photograph to be included in the Police Gazette was published in the issue of 20 April 1904. It was a mugshot of John McKenzie, (real name James Ellis), who was wanted for the murder of Leonard Collinson. McKenzie was finally caught in December, and found guilty at his trial the following year and sentenced to death.
