English: New York Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to Gun 8, Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 258th Field Artillery, based in Bronx, N.Y., fire their M119 Howitzer during training at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Ft. Polk, La., July 26, 2016. Approximately 3,000 Soldiers from New York joined 2,000 other state Army National Guard units, active Army and Army Reserve troops as part of the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team task force. The Soldiers are honing their skills and practicing integrating combat operations ranging from infantry troops engaging in close combat with an enemy and employing artillery and aviation, July 9-30, 2016.
