Description
English: Verrazano-Narrows Bridge between New York City and Staten Island is the largest suspension bridge in the world. Total length of bridge is 13,700 feet; length of suspended structure, 6,690 ft; main span, 4,260 ft; each side span, 1,215 ft; width 103 feet. The main towers reach 690 feet above the mean high water and the clearance at center is 228 feet above the mean high water. On two decks with roadways of 74 feet
