Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Photo/lithograph of Frits V. Holm from the report of his arrival to the US with a replica of the Nestorian Stele that he had made in Xi'an. The original caption: "Fritz von Holm who obtained the replica". As a Google Books search shows, "Fritz von Holm" was a common (mis) spelling at the time, although, according to Keevak (2008), this is incorrect, since he was really Frits Vilhelm Holm.
