DescriptionNYCS BMT Nassau Chambers abandoned platform.jpg |
English: Abandoned center platform at Chambers Street station on the BMT Nassau Street Line.
When opened in 1931, this station was the most important BRT landfall in Manhattan providing four tracks and five platforms. The completition of the Nassau Street Loop in 1931 turned it into an ordinary through station, and the extra platforms were no longer necessary. |
