Description

Special temporary shuttle buses carried subway customers across the East River while train service was being restored. All six of the MTA's subway tunnels connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan, as well as the G train's tunnel under Newtown Creek, flooded with seawater during Hurricane Sandy.
