(top metal layer | @macrolens) die-size 11,63mm x 11,63mm (135,26mm²) (6500 dpi) Nvidia's first microprocessor. There were two different package labels on the market for just the same chip.The package was labeled as STG2000X or NV1. The most sold card with this chip was the Diamond Edge 3D. The process technology for this chip are 500nm by SGS Thomson (later renamed to STMicroelectronics). This here, is a reshot from my old STG2000 Die-Shot from 2016. The top metal Die-Shot is much clearer. Unfortunately, the etched Die-Shot shows no longer any transistors. Pretty bad... With naked eyes, the chip looks like a photosensor :( |
