Description
English: Preparing for an underground test at the Nevada Test Site.
Original caption: Electronic cables are laid out at a drill site on the DOE's Nevada Test Site where preparations are underway for an underground nuclear test. The cables will be lowered downhole to relay scientific data to diagnostic trailers at the surface. On the left is an instrumentation tower in which experiments are assembled prior to being lowered downhole.
