Description TEAPOT - A/2c Robert L. Hagan, Milwaukee, Wis., left, and A/2c Jack B. Spikes, New Orleans, LA, from the Filter Recovery Unit of the 4926th Test Squadron (Sampling) life the lead container in which they have just placed an air sample collected by an F-84 sampler plane from an atomic cloud. The long handled pole is used to reduce the amount of radiation to which the men will be exposed. The Filter Recovery Unit, the only organization of its kind in the Air Force, is responsible for removing the air samples from the plane and delivering them to courier planes for airlift to the proper AEC laboratory. The sampling squadron is based at Indian Springs AFB, NV, during the current atomic test series.
