Of the DOD Test Group, are shown on a recent inspection of the military effects display area in Frenchman Flat in preparation for the next scheduled test, not set for Sunday 6/23/57. The bridge in the background is a survivor from military effects tests conducted in Upshot-Knothole in 1953, & will be used again for advanced blast studies. An extensive array of other military effects experiments is being made ready for the detonation. Cols. Parsons & Coleman are members of the Field Command, Armed Forces Special Weapons Project at Sandia Base, NM. | ||||
