Description
Nederlands: Allegorie op de verovering van Damiate in 1219. [afbeelding]. - [ca.1750]. - tekening op papier : pen in zwart en penseel in grijs ; 22x32 cm Niet gesigneerd. - Met watermerk: IV. Op grond van watermerk en stijl midden 18de eeuw gedateerd, ook al staat het jaartal 1648 in Romeinse cijfers op de versozijde. De pendant van deze tekening 53-001666 K heeft het watermerk 'Lelie'. Toe te schrijven aan Tako Hajo Jelgersma? Afgebeeld is een vrouwenfiguur, de overwinning symboliserend, staan de in een vaartuig, waaraan de wapenschilden zijn opgehangen van de Haarlemmers, die deelnamen aan de verovering van Damiate. - Watergoden en -godinnen omgeven het schip Herkomst: in 1921 geschonken door Dr.J.F.M.Sterck te Heemstede. - Midden-links beschadigd Identificatienummer: 53-000024 K
