Description
Nederlands: Het was vooral een energieke beurs met veel aandacht voor op afstand bestuurbare vlieg-, vaar en voertuigen. Innovatie dus en dat onderwerp staat hoog op de agenda van directeur Defensie Materieel Organisatie vice-admiraal Arie Jan de Waard. Hij pleitte ervoor dat alle betrokkenen – Defensie, industrie en kennisinstituten de krachten bundelen. Waar tot nu werd gesproken over de 'Gouden Driehoek', spreekt De Waard liever over een ‘gouden ecosysteem’. “Samen optrekken is al de beste garantie dat we onze militairen van het beste materieel en IT kunnen voorzien. Deze definitie geeft mooi weer waar we verder op in moeten zetten: een combinatie van de bekende én minder voor de hand liggende partners die elkaar opzoeken, die elkaar wat hebben te bieden. Door zelfregulatie stellen we dan datgene zeker waar we zo zuinig op moeten zijn: onze vrede en veiligheid”, aldus De Waard.
