English: The Elephant Stone in the nature park Mühlviertel is a rock formation out of Weinsberg granite, a very coarse-grained granite. It got its shape by woolsack (spheroidal) weathering and consists of several overlaping blocks which are vegetated by birches, pines, hazel and cherry trees. Remarkable are the crystals of Feldspar at the left side of the rock. Here this crystals can be found in a size up to 10 cm.
