Title
NCL-7BA8B6: Post-Medieval token depicting a bawdy scene
Description
English: A cast lead-alloy pendant bearing a bawdy scene, probably dating to the late 18th century.

The pendant is discoidal with a circular perforation for suspension near one edge. The reverse is undecorated, but has a raised outer edge.

The face depicts a bawdy or erotic scene, consisting of three people engaged in a sexual act. A hunched male figure with a large phallus near the left edge is penetrating a (presumed) woman that is bent forward to the right. The woman is positioned just right of centre, and a third seated person has straightened legs between those of the woman, and is sitting upright with the head level with that of the woman. The gender of this third figure is less certain than that of the woman, due to the wear on the face of the disc, but the figure may be a female due to the lack of a phallus. Also, the woman may be kissing the breasts of the third seated figure.
