Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A sign along northbound U.S. Routes 19, 98 and Alternate U.S. Route 27 telling motorists of the approaching junction with U.S. Route 129 in Chiefland, Florida. This is just north of the beginning of the overlap with US Alternate 27 in Chiefland, Florida. Believe it or not, there was a time before the 21st Century when US 19-98 (hidden SR 55), US Alternate Route 27 (hidden SR 500), and US 129 (hidden SR 49) all converged with one another. The vacant lot on the right contains part of an older section of US Alt. 27, but within at least one year that lot and the old road will be replaced by a Circle K gas station that contains diesel fuel, as well as diesel exhaust fluid and non-ethanol fuel.
