Description

PLEASE, NO invitations or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks.

Although an aid to navigation was established here as early as 1879, there was never an authentic lighthouse at this site. In 1985 the City of Campbellton incorporated the existing light tower into an imitation lighthouse with an attached house that was then opened as Campbellton Lighthouse Hostel, part of Hostelling International. This should not be considered an authentic lighthouse.

The hostel was closed by the City in early 2017 because it was running a $12,500 annual deficit.
