English: U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Bob Hines, a NASA astronaut, tours Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 157 at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at Daytona Beach, Florida, Feb. 18, 2023. Hines visited Embry-Riddle to share the story of his career and recent space expedition to AFROTC cadets and students, while also touring the campus and learning the capabilities the university offers. Hines was selected by NASA to join the 2017 Astronaut Candidate Class where he served as a mission specialist on NASA’s SpaceX Crew-4 mission to the International Space Station for 170 days, which concluded in October of 2022.
