English: A rear view of NASA's B-52B Balls 8 research aircraft deploying an experimental drag chute just after landing on Rogers Dry Lake, adjacent to the Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, Calif., on a 1990 research flight. The B-52's tests led to the development of a drag chute to help the Space Shuttle land more safely and easily.
