Description
Français : Hermès d'Atalante, statue funéraire en marbre pentélique trouvée à Atalante en Phtiotide. Elle représente un jeune homme sous les traits du dieu Hermès, nu, portant une chlamyde sur l'épaule et entourée autour de son bras gauche. Dans la main gauche, il devait tenir un caducée. Copie du IIe s. p. C. d'un modèle du IVe s. présentant des caractéristiques de l'œuvre de Lysippe. Musée archéologique national, Athènes, n°240.
English: The Hermes from Atalante, in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. This 2nd century BC statue represents a deceased youth in heroic nudity, after an original dating from the 4th century AD and inspired by the lysippean style.
Italiano: L'Hermes di Atalante, nel Museo archeologico nazionale di Atene. Questa statua funeraria di un giovane, rappresentato in nudo eroico, è una copia del secolo II d.C. di un originale di sapore lisippeo del secolo IV a.C.
