Description
English: Akersberg with the Aker church. Detail of Næser's map of Christiania, 1858. The canyons indicated by contour lines are pits mediaeval silver mines.
Norsk bokmål: Akersberget med Gamle Aker kirke. Utsnitt av Næsers kart over Christiania fra 1858. De dype kløftene mellom kirken og Maridalsveien er sjakter etter sølvgruvene som ble drevet her i middelalderen. Senere ble det brutt grønnstein til gatebrolegning i de samme gangene med diabas.
