Summary
[edit]DescriptionMysterious lights over North Pacific Ocean.jpg |
English: On a trans-pacific flight we notice outside, mysterious lights on the surface of the ocean at night. On Global Fishing Watch we see they were simply Japanese squid jiggers!
We are looking north. Double checking the FlightAware logs, the plane is pointed azimuth 85 degrees. We are at FL330 (33,000 ft.) From our Taipei +0800 Exif and comparing FlightAware logs, the time certainly is 2022-07-06T08:54:20Z. The light at the top of the photo is a reflection from inside the airplane (United Airlines Flight UA872 Departed Wed, Jul 06, 2022 09:50 AM Taipei (TPE); Arrived Wed, Jul 06, 2022 06:50 AM (crossed International Date Line) San Francisco, CA, US (SFO)).) |
