Description
English: Mysore Palace also called as Amba Vilas palace,is one of the largest palaces in India located in Mysore, Karnataka.It used to be the official residence of the wodeyar dynasty, Mysore rulers from 1399 to 1950.It is one of the most famous tourist attractions in India, after the Taj Mahal. Its architectural styles are blends of the Hindu, Mughal, Rajput, and Gothic styles.The palace has three entrances.The kings of Mysore were devotees of Goddess Chamundi, hence the palace's facing the Chamundi Hills.Its architect was Henry Irwin. The main attraction of the ten-day Mysore Dasara festival is the Mysore Palace which is lighted daily
