Description
English: I have been informed this represents Archangel Michael OR the Angel of the Lord

Located in the top section of the arch, above the icon of the ‘Crucifixion’. Byzantine fresco from the 12th century.

One of pictures in a room that has frescos in and around niches with sarcophagi. It's room 11 in a groundplan.

The pictures have been edited by using "auto color" in Photoshop, which increases clarity, but changes the colours. I intend to add in this category a number of non-edited pictures to show the originals are somewhat bleaker. On the other hand, I think a restoration would do similar.
