[edit]DescriptionMycena bulliformis B.A. Perry & Desjardin 994331.jpg |
Mycena bulliformis B.A. Perry & Desjardin Image location: Ponderosa Lodge, Graham Hill Rd., Santa Cruz, California, USA Large fruitings all over the place, growing on cut side of logs, from holes in barkless logs, or just any rotten wood. The logs are probably of Ponderosa pine, but there are other trees around as well. Odor and taste mildly raphanoid. Spores 8-10.5 × 5.5-6. Pileipellis covered by a mass of ‘cysts’ up to 12 microns wide, which are perhaps fallen off excrescences. Wondering how unusual this is. Microscopic view. Recognized by sight
