| Description | Call me foolhardy, but although I would not have ventured down the steep slope to the valley floor, trying to follow that cow's trail (see previous pictures), I would have loved to walk on the unsealed road to at least catch a glimpse of the human settlement below. Of course, that would have meant walking back up a steep road in darkness, and who knows what animals you might encounter here! This was not elephant country though, so no danger of meeting those mighty pachiderms! We are in Vagamon, Kerala, and my initially enthusiastic guide now seemed only to anxious to get me back into the car and back to civilization! (Vagamon Hills, Kerala, India, Apr. 2016) |
