Salem Academy was a junior college from 1842 to 1907 in the remote community of South Salem in Ross County, Ohio, David Kingery, my great grandfather, graduated here before attending college to become a Pyesbyterian minister. The structure is restored, used as a community building, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. |
