I2l. Warum hat man Wert auf eine schöne Handschrift
zu legen?
Einleitung. Mahnung eines Lehrers an feine Schüler, eines Vorgesetzten an seine Untergebenen, auf bessere Schrift zu halten. Der Erinnerte fühlt sich bedrückt. Er weist darauf hin, daß die bedeutendsten Männer oft recht schlecht schreiben.
I. Gründe für die Erwerbung einer guten Handschrift:
1. Gute Handschrift ist eine angenehme äußere Empfehlung, ebenso wie anständige Kleidung. Beide sind ein Zeichen von Achtung gegen die Person, der man gegenübertritt.
2. Sie wird mit Recht von Kaufleuten und Bureaubeamten verlangt.
3. Gute Handschrift erspart viele Unannehmlichkeiten im Leben.
4. Sie ist ein Beweis von Geschmack und Schönheitssinn.
6. Sie läßt auf den Charakter des Menschen schließen.
Graphologie.
6. Schönschreiben gewährt Freude an der Arbeit. Langsames Schreiben hemmt vielleicht augenblicklich das schnelle Denken, dafür kommt aber der Gedanke zu besserer Reife.
7. Eine schöne Schrift sollte niemals geringschätzig behandelt werden. Die Kalligraphie ist ein Gegenstand der Kunst geworden und wird besonders von solchen Menschen geschätzt, die sich in ihrer Schrift vernachlässigt haben.
ll. Die Erwerbung einer guten Handschrift ist nicht schwer.
Ruhe, Besonnenheit, fester Wille führen zum Ziel.
Hochgestellte Männer, die schlecht schreiben, beklagen es oft, daß ihnen eine angenehme Zierde fehlt.
Beim weiblichen Geschlechts ist eine schlechte Handschrift natürlich doppelt unschön.
Schluß. „Von allem, was der Mensch bei seinem Tode zu- rücklätzt, gehört ihm vielleicht nichts so eigen an als seine Hand- schrift, ein unmittelbarer und dabei geistiger Ausfluß seiner Persönlichkeit."
