Bearbeitungen von Gedichten.
94. Die Auswanderer.
Das bekannte Gedicht Ferdinand Freiligraths soll genau gelesen und sodann der Inhalt nach folgender Gliederung wiedergegeben werden:
I. Wir betrachten die Auswanderer, die mit dem Einschiffen ihrer Habe beschäftigt sind (Strophe 1 bis 3).
II. Wir führen ihnen vor die Seele, was sie immer wieder an die alte Heimat erinnern wird (Strophe 4 bis 7).
III. Wir fragen sie tadelnd, warum sie die alte, schöne Heimat verlassen wollen (Strophe 8).
IV. Wir malen ihnen aus, wie sie sich nach der alten Heimat zurücksehnen werden (Strophe 9 bis 10).
V. Wir nehmen Abschied von ihnen (Strophe 11).
95. Das Blockhaus in der neuen Heimat.
Im Anschluß an den borigen Aufsatz fertigen wir einen Brief, in dem ein Auswanderer an seine Freunde in der Heimat den Bau des Blockhauses schildert.
Der Hauptinhalt dürfte sich etwa folgendermaßen gestalten:
Nun will ich Dir auch berichten, wie wir uns als erste große Arbeit ein neues Heim erbauten. (Es braucht nicht der Urwald in Amerika, sondern es kann Deutsch-Ostafrika, Kamerun, Süd- Westafrika oder eine andere deutsche Kolonie als neue Heimat angenommen werden.) Zuerst galt es, Bäume zu fällen. Das war eine sehr schwierige Arbeit, da Du keine Ahnung hast, wie dicht ein solcher Urwald verwachsen ist. Der Platz für unsere Ansiedlung wurde frei gemacht und geebnet. Dann zimmerten wir große, starke Balken und fügten sie zusammen. End- lich bauten wir ein Bretterdach und beschwerten es nach Art der Alpen-Sennhütten mit schweren Steinen. In unser Blockhaus führt eine breite Tür; außerdem haben wir an jeder Wand eine Lichtöffnung freigelassen. Inmitten der neuen Wohnung steht ein Herd aus Lehm; eine Dachöffnung über demselben führt den Rauch ab. Bänke, Tische und Stühle sind allerdings aus ungehobelten Brettern zusammengeschlagen worden, erfüllen aber ihren Zweck. An den Wänden hängen statt der Bilder
