Die Disposition ist also das Entwerfen des Ganges bei der Bearbeitimg einer Aufgabe. Sie besteht darin, daß man die Gesichtspunkte angibt, aufstellt, nach welchen die Arbeit vollzogen werden muß.
Wie eine richtige Disposition zu finden ist, das mutz dem Nachdenken des Schülers überlassen werden und muß sich auch aus dem zu behandelnden Stoffe ergeben. In jeder Aufgabe, in jedem Aufsatzstoffe liegen eigentümliche Gesichtspunkte, nach welchen gearbeitet werden mutz. Jedoch gibt es auch Aufgaben, die nach feststehenden Gesichtspunkten bearbeitet werden, z. B. die Beschreibung von Natur- und Kunstprodukten, die Biographien usw.
Die Wichtigkeit der Disposition für die Ausarbeitung von Aufsätzen aller Art geht daraus hervor, daß sie die Grundlage der ganzen Arbeit ausmacht. Sie gleicht dem festen Gerüst, auf dem sich das Gebäude erhebt und auf das es sich stützt; sie ist gleichsam das Skelett, welches dem Ganzen Festigkeit und Zusammenhang gewährt. Daher sollte jeder, der das Aufsatz- schreiben erlernen will, möglichst oft Dispositionen zu Aufsätzen entwerfen.
Wenn auch, wie gesagt wurde, die Disposition in der Aufgabe selbst liegt, so ist es für den Anfänger doch immer schwierig, sie glatt und dem vorliegenden Stoffe innerlich und äußerlich entsprechend zu entwerfen» Man wage sich daher stets zuerst nur an ganz einfache Aufgaben heran.
SZ. Der Würfel.
Es soll beispielsweise die Disposition zu einem Aufsatz über den „Würfel" gebildet werden. Eine einfache Gliederung des Stoffes wäre folgende (es empfiehlt sich natürlich, einen Würfel vor sich zu haben!) :
I. Welche Form oder Gestalt hat der Würfel? (Sechs Quadratseiten, acht Ecken, zwölf Kanten.)
II. Wo findet sich der Würfel in der Natur vor? (Bei Schwefelkies und anderen mineralischen Kristallformen.)
III. Aus welchen Stoffen fertigt man den Würfel als mathematischen Körper? (Aus Holz, Stein, Quarz, Knochen, Elfenbein, Metall, in einigen Gegenden wird Zucker, Butter, selbst Heu in Würfelform geformt.)
IV. Von wem und mit welchen Werkzeugen wird er gefertigt? (Kinder schneiden mit dem Messer Würfel aus Kreide, fertigen Würfel mit den Händen aus Ton, nassem Sande; Schüler, die schon mathematischen Unter-
