| Description |
English: Music in the Pavilion Gardens, Bournemouth In the 1970s, Bournemouth liked to think of itself as a select and refined resort, (perhaps it still does), and each afternoon during the season, a musical entertainment would be provided in the Pavilion Gardens. For many years, the band of the Metropolitan Police was so employed, and for those coppers who were good enough musicians to be in the band, it was a very welcome change from slapping the streets of London with the soles of their shoes. |
