Description Museu Nacional do Açúcar e do Álcool, popularmente chamado de Museu da Cana. O Engenho Central pertenceu às famílias Biagi e Schimidt, que construiu o Engenho Central em 1903. O local possui equipamentos raros, fabricados em 1876 e 1888, trazidos da Europa para o Brasil ainda na época da monarquia. Na época do início das atividades a usina era considerada revolucionária, com ferrovia para o embarque, acionamento das moendas por motor elétrico e a água residual era devolvida limpa no rio.
