Description
Español: Nuestro padre de la patria es padre de la historia. Corría 1.816 mientras el preparaba el magnífico cruce de los Andes, se había instalado en tierras vírgenes por labrar, acá fundó lo que hoy es un pueblo pujante Gral. José de San Martín, en la provincia de Mendoza. Esas tierras fueron donadas por el cabildo de la época para que a su regreso de liberar a Chile de los españoles y su colonia, él tuviera un "lugar" donde estar y vivir. El museo histórico es una réplica de la casa original de Don José de San Martín. La casa original enclavada en la inmediaciones de la Plaza del Olivo histórico fue construida en 1816 aproximadamente y destruida por el terremoto de 1.861. Ésta réplica construida entre 1.905 y 1.910 toma la forma de la anterior basada en la tradición oral de los vecinos y llega a ser un museo histórico en 1.976.
