Español: El Museo Interactivo de Ciencia (MIC), administrado por la Fundación Museos de la Ciudad se encuentra ubicado al sur de Quito en el emblemático barrio de Chimbacalle, espacio donde funcionó la fábrica de hilados y tejidos “La Industrial”, desde 1935 hasta 1999.
El sitio fue intervenido para convertirse en un museo contemporáneo interactivo, de divulgación de la ciencia y tecnología, que estimule el desarrollo cognitivo de niños, niñas, jóvenes y adultos, personas de la tercera edad o con alguna discapacidad. El MIC ofrece salas permanentes, exposiciones temporales y una serie de actividades conceptualizadas dentro de proyectos que conjugan ciencia, educación y técnicas museológicas, con el fin de que los visitantes se conviertan en protagonistas de su propia experiencia, mientras juegan, se preguntan y aprenden. Les extendemos la más cordial invitación a formar parte de los procesos que llevan el MIC, bajo el compromiso de democratizar la ciencia y la tecnología e impulsar la investigación, como factor de apoyo para la construcción de ciudadanía y desarrollo local. |
