Italiano: Facciata laterale del museo Guttuso. Costruita nel 1736 da Francesco Bonanno, Principe di Cattolica, ha l'aspetto di un castello circondata com'è da mura merlate. Grazie alla generosa donazione del Maestro Renato Guttuso fu acquistata dal Comune di Bagheria, restaurata, ed oggi ospita la Galleria d'Arte Moderna Museo Guttuso dove tra tante opere contemporanee è possibile ammirare la più grande collezione di dipinti, sculture, incisioni del Maestro bagherese, le cui spoglie sono conservate nel prospiciente giardino, in un grande sarcofago in marmo blu del Brasile rivolto verso il mare che tanto amava e realizzato dall'amico e artista Giacomo Manzù. Ed il museo etnografico con i tipici carretti siciliani dei fratelli Ducato ed opere in pietra d'Aspra del Durante. Di forma quadrata è composta da due esedre parallele. In una vi è il grande scalone a tenaglia che porta all'ingresso sormontato da un bel portale e fiancheggiato da due logge anche loro incorniciate da un portale similare. Nella corte la Cappella di Corte dedicata a Santa Rosalia. Nella villa è presente anche una stanza dello scirocco, l'ambiente sotterraneo creato per sfuggire al vento caldo africano. |
