Summary
[edit]DescriptionMusée Rodin (5674142251).jpg |
The Rodin Museum, hosted at Auguste Rodin's home on the Left Bank. This installation is the Gates of Hell, Rodin's lifelong project that was never finished. It had been intended to mark the entrance to a purpose-built museum housing Rodin's works. I am aware of only two copies of the Gates of Hell in the entirety. The other copy is a plaster example at Musée d'Orsay, just one stop away on the RER commuter train. |
