[edit]DescriptionMurals on the Loyalist Fountain Estate, Londonderry - geograph.org.uk - 1462352.jpg |
English: Murals on the Loyalist Fountain Estate, Londonderry The estate is overlooked by the city walls. As part of the propaganda war during The Troubles 1968 - to c2000 both the Loyalists and Provisional Sinn Fein had their own Welsh speaking spokesmen who made frequent appearances on BBC Radio Cymru and S4C television news and current affairs programmes. The Loyalist spokesman a former British Army man and a native Welsh speaker who had married an Ulster girl had the advantage over the Gaelic-accented Welsh of the PSF spokesmen. |
