Description
English: Munda Gumbad or the Domeless Structure, lies on a small hillock in the District Park of Hauz Khas near the Hauz Khas Tank. Originally it had had a dome which got destroyed in due course of time. The structure probably belonged to the Khilji Period of Delhi Sultanate. Alauddin Khilji, the famous Sultan of Delhi during Khilji dynasty is credited with construction of the nearby Hauz Khas Tank for the fulfilling the daily water needs for the people of Siri, one of the cities of Delhi. This structure, Munda Gumbad originally lied in the center of the Hauz Khas Tank.
