[edit]DescriptionMultifunctional Waterbreak (31158794760).jpg |
Waterbreaks offer a novel agroforestry system for reducing impacts from flood events by providing a series of strategically placed buffers in the floodplain. The placement and use of waterbreaks are intended to moderate water velocity similar to the way windbreaks moderate wind velocity. Waterbreaks Tech Note - NAC website Illustrator: Gary Bentrup, National Agroforestry Center |
