(HE Honor Society, founded in 1914, has for its purpose thepromotion of scholarship. Its membership consists of thePresident and the Dean of the college, faculty members whobelong to the Phi Beta Kappa or Sigma Xi societies, and studentswho have especially high grades or who have rendered the collegesome worthy service. In the winter term, not more than threeJuniors and not more than one-fourth of the Senior Class may beelected to the club. The Alumnae members are those of the classesfrom 1908 to 1913 who received Senior Honors, and those who havebeen elected to the club since 1914.
