[edit]DescriptionMulti vehicle accident - M4 Motorway, Sydney, NSW (8076178470).jpg |
Multi vehicle accident - M4 Motorway, Sydney. Just after midday on 11th October 2012, the M4 Motorway was completely blocked in both directions near Silverwater Road, after this multi vehicle accident. According to witnesses the driver of the white ute was "driving errattically" westbound and lost control. The two trucks collided while attempting to avoid the ute, causing them to hit the centre dividing barriers and sending the concrete barriers skidding in front of eastbound traffic, hitting the white Hyundai. A black SUV also lost control in the chaos and collided with the guard rail. The crash was attended by NSW Police, Ambulance Service NSW, NSW Fire & Rescue, and Roads & Maritime Services. Surprisingly only the ute driver was taken to hospital with minor cuts, and the road was reopened before the afternoon peak. Taken from the Melton Street pedestrian overpass. |
